A Dedicated Server is a physical server located in our datacentre that has all of its resources available to you. Unlike a Virtual Server which is hosted on a physical machine and has shared resources with other users, a dedicated server is exclusively for you and you have full control over it.

Your Dedicated Server will be located in our purpose-built, 100% privately owned Datacentre in the South of the United Kingdom, see our datacentre page for more information about our datacentre.

Yes, you can upgrade/downgrade your server at any time within the parameters of the physical host (you may want to contact us to discuss this). Please note taht for hardware upgrades such as CPU and RAM we will need to power down your server to carry out these tasks. Some Hard Drive modifications may be possible while the server is still powered. Contact us for more info.

Yes, we do. This is offered to you as an option during checkout (or can be added at any time. The Dedicated Server pricing is without any management (you manage the server yourself). We will of course be happy to assist you with any issues, but there may be additional charges for support requests that are not covered by the default support for Dedicated Servers.

This depends greatly on the server you choose. We have a number of Dedicated Servers that are ready to be deployed but some highly customised servers or special requests may take longer to provision. Servers ready to be deployed (indicated on the page) will be deployed same working day (typically within an hour during office hours), orders received outside of office hours will be provisioned next working day. For any special requirements or customised servers, you may contact us first to enquire about a timeline or you will be notified upon purchasing the expected timeline to provision the server. We hold a large amount of configurable items (CPU, RAM, HDD, SSD) so we should be able to provision most Dedicated Servers within 24 hours.
